SWINGING GUITARS
CLIENT: VAN LOENEN TRIO
My first project and my first real client, the personal website of the famous Van Loenen Trio!
The trio is made up of a father and his 2 boys, and together they play Gypsy Jazz.
Gypsy Jazz, as the name says has originated from the gypsys, who used to play songs
around a campfire, and the concept is based around the word 'campfire'.
The outer part of the site is black while the center is warm and red, creating a 'campfire' effect.
The red curtain behind the trio represents the detail they put in their play.
The menu on the right side turned out te be a successful, as I received many replies about it being convenient and feeling natural.

A website that centers around online pokemon battles.
Unofortunately the project has been put on hold.
The concept behind this design was to make the site resemble the games
as much as possible, so if you aren't familiar with the games, the concept
may seem vague.

THERAPEUT HUIZEN
CLIENT: MARION VAN NES
The first website where I was responsible for both the design and the coding.
This website was made for Marion van Nes, a therapist who aids families, individuals and children under the age of 12
The purpose of the site is to give people a positive feeling, a feeling of being welcome.
Hence the colour purple, as it stands for assurance, spirituality, empathy and truth.
The paper family in the header represents an unbreakable bond, as they are all connected holding each others hands.
The feelings get amplified by the picture of the old and young hand in the background.

THE HIDDEN PEARL

This one is a school project, I made the design of the site and the design of the logo.
The concept behind this design was to give the viewer a kind of sandy, beachy summer feeling.
The logo and title are green to give the site that little bit of nature.

LEKKER PITTIG

My first personal project, I came across a website about spicy food, and I thought I could do better
in terms of making the viewer get an appetite.
So basically the title translates to 'Nice and Spicy!'
Which is exactly what I'm trying to achieve with the design, I wanted to make the design 'spicy' as well.
The header blasts off your screen with the peppers and the logo and the rising sun, and below that is a bar with all kinds
of tasty spicy food to get your mouth drooling for spicy goodness!

ROSSI FANSITE

And another personal project, this time for MotoGP legend Rossi!
So the other day I wanted to visit some fansites about him, and none of those designs actually got to me.
So I really wanted to do Rossi some honor.
The header shows Rossi with and without his helmet to make the design
a bit more personal. The black part in the header represents how a race track looks like from above.
Also, the color scheme is based on the checkered flag they wave at the finish, so the main colors are black and white.
The menu got a really speedy look too by making it cursif.
And why japanese you ask? Because japanese
text is hyperactive, and Rossi is one hyperactive guy!

POPART SHOP
CLIENT: HANS HAZES
A real client this time, I can assume we all know Popart and Andy Warhol?
Well, the purpose of this site is to sell Popart.
The paper texture is used to give it a nice old feeling and the colour scheme is
typical popart-ish. I made it look like the logo was painted for a vintage look, and Andy Warhol's
most populair work in the header to finish it!

NOVA SUICIDE
CLIENT: SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT
A school assignment, I had to make a poster for a fictional rockband named 'Nova Suicide'
Well, then you obviously use the colours of a Supernova!
So the colour scheme had been Supernova'd, and the splatter brushes behind the band members to make
them stand out, and I used a layer mask to make it seem like they were corroding.
I used liquify to make them 'fade out' a little bit too. Their logo is nice and heavy to get the attention,
and the guitar makes clear what the poster is all about.

A logo design for a contest, as you can see in the title, the logo
had to depict a speedy service!
Finding things fast gave me to idea to use a running magnifying glass,
I mean, that thing has to be able to find things fast right?

lose money, so the man on the cover is standing there with empty pockets,
